The Easiest Sticky Date Puddings + All The Christmas Desserts You Need

hi there Reader

sticky date puddings

In amongst end-of-year celebrations, playdates and plane rides, I've been typing like the wind so I could give you my new Sticky Date Pudding recipe before Christmas is upon us.

I just pressed publish.

So if you're still on the hunt for an easy Christmas dessert that will WOW guests AND can be made in a jiffy, this one's for you.

Think soft and tender, date-filled cakes, covered (no, make that SOAKED) in a creamy, three-ingredient caramel sauce.

The best part? It can all be made in a muffin pan. No need for any fancy pudding moulds. Not even an electric mixer. Just sweet, caramel goodness from top to bottom.

And if you prefer something cold, something no-bake, or something layered, read on for more Christmas dessert ideas.

Christmas desserts are my thing. So if you're still on the hunt for a last-minute dessert, don't fear. I've got you.

For something fancy, you can't go past my mother-in-law's famous Pavlova.

For something easy, try my simple Berry Trifle or a messy bowl of Eton Mess.

If cake is always your thing, try my Black Forest Cake. But if you prefer lemon desserts over chocolate, opt for my Lemon Ricotta Cake.

If this is the one time of year you break out the cheesecake pan, try my
White Chocolate Cheesecake.

Or if turning the oven on is a no-go, there's always Banoffee Pie to the rescue.

And if you want to try something different this year, a swirly Chocolate Yule Log is both fun and festive.

Well that's a wrap on 2024 in my kitchen!

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thank you for being here.

Happy baking,

Jess xx

hi there Reader big news Hello, hello! I'm terribly sorry for the radio silence over here. For the past three months, I've been keeping a secret from you. But it's time to let the cat out of the bag. For the last 11 years, I’ve been developing my own recipes and publishing them on Sweetest Menu. And YOU have been making them. But there is one thing you have asked me for. Again. And again. And again. And it’s finally happening. I’m writing a cookbook. One more time for those in the back. I'M...

hi there Reader lemon coconut cake Happy April and happy Easter! I hope you're hopping into the Easter break and not diving over the finish line like me 😅 It's been a big few weeks here at SM (more on that soon 😉) but I'm loving all the Easter baking, whether it's fluffy Hot Cross Buns or a simple NYC Cookie filled with chocolate Easter eggs. But if there's one thing that should grace your Easter table this year, I hope it's my NEW Lemon Coconut Cake. She's just lovely with two layers of soft...

hi there Reader chocolate nyc cookies Hello hello! I blinked and suddenly it was March. Are you feeling the same? The leaves are turning orange, my baby boy is turning two and I'm wondering where February went. But I've had a blast this last week making a (very rustic 🤣) train cake for my toddler and getting my latest recipe live for you. Can somebody say big fat Double Chocolate Cookies?! If you've been around these parts for a while, you'll know my copycat Levain Bakery Chocolate Chip...
