NYC Chocolate Cookies + Train Cakes πŸš‚

hi there Reader

chocolate nyc cookies

Hello hello! I blinked and suddenly it was March. Are you feeling the same?

The leaves are turning orange, my baby boy is turning two and I'm wondering where February went.

But I've had a blast this last week making a (very rustic 🀣) train cake for my toddler and getting my latest recipe live for you.

Can somebody say big fat Double Chocolate Cookies?!

If you've been around these parts for a while, you'll know my copycat

Levain Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookies have been one of my most popular recipes for years.

Cold butter (and a few other tips and tricks) ensure these cookies are thick and chunky - and they never disappoint.

So it was high time, I showcased a double choc version. And I've been making these Chocolate New York-style Cookies for years.

They're big and thick but surprisingly soft and chewy inside. And the middle is almost like a fudgy brownie 🀀

There's no chilling the dough so these cookies are ready to eat in under an hour. And I reckon they riv

al any store-bought cookie for looks and taste.

I also jumped in the kitchen and made a video for you so you can see just how easy they are to make. Bake along with me below!

And if you get a chance to make a batch, please send me a photo or tag me on Instagram. I LOVE seeing you bakes!

what's baking in march

With Valentine's Day behind us and Easter just around the corner, so many of you are enjoying more classic bakes.

There's been a lot of love for my easy Pear Cake, Cinnamon Apple Cake and Almond Raspberry Cake recipes. All three are one layer cake winners!

More of you are trying your hand at my moist Passionfruit Cake (such a winner).

And after revealing my 6 Tips For Tall Scones last week, my Buttermilk Scone recipe has had a resurgence.

In my kitchen, I've been enjoying my Fluffy Pancakes (always in my freezer), my sugar-free Toddler Muffins (the kids still love them) and too many Chocolate Cookies, of course.

For my son's birthday this week, I used my Moist Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Buttercream and Chocolate Frosting recipes to create this homemade masterpiece πŸ˜‰

It's time for me to brainstorm recipes for Easter.

Hit reply if you have any suggestions.

Happy baking,

Jess xx

And again. And it’s finally happening. I’m writing a cookbook. One more time for those in the back. I'M...

Tiramisu Cookie

hi there Reader tiramisu cookies It's February, which means love, Valentine's Day (and my wedding anniversary!) and chocolate. And I'm all for it.
