Cheese Scones + You're Invited To My Party 🥳

hi there Reader

cheese scones

Remember when I went to New Zealand two months ago? I ate my weight in cheese scones over there just so I could come home and recreate a fantastic Cheese Scone recipe for you. You Are Welcome.

Well I've done it. It's finally here. And it does NOT disappoint. Just like the ones I had in NZ, these small but tall scones are filled with flaky layers and feature a crispy cheesy top.

And remember how we learnt with my Buttermilk Scone recipe that a good homemade scone is more about the technique than it is about the ingredients?

How you mix your scone dough and shape it, is what will determine the height, the texture and the flavour of your scones. But once you master it, you’ll be able to whip out these buttery Cheese Scones anytime of the day.

In addition to my free printable recipe, I'm sharing my 7 tips for making perfect scones that will change the game for you. Especially if you've ever made dry, tough or flat scones before.

Strawberries and Cream Cookies by Jessica Holmes

hi there Reader strawberries & cream cookies When I was dreaming up a new cookie recipe to add to our Cookie Collection, I couldn’t stop thinking about berries. I landed on creating a beautiful Strawberries And Cream Cookie from scratch. So I conducted a cookie experiment, making the same cookie dough three times – but one with fresh berries, one with frozen berries and one with freeze-dried berries. L to R: Fresh berries, frozen berries and freeze-dried berries. The truth is, they all...

Jessica Holmes' Cornflake Crunch

hi there Reader cornflake crunch If you follow along on Instagram, you would have seen that I have been making these crunchy little morsels ALL WEEK LONG. I just hit publish on my new 5 ingredient recipe for Cornflake Crunch. Soaked in honey, butter and brown sugar, these little golden flakes are then caramelised in the oven until they smell toasty. This recipe was inspired by two things: America's Milk Bar Bakery and the delicious treats I grew up with in Australia called Honey Joys. A few...

hi there Reader it's all happening Hello, hello! What an exciting time at SM this week with the countdown to my official cookbook launch only one month away! I also made my Lemon Pound Cake this week and remembered what an amazing recipe it is! That drippy glaze and dense but soft texture is mouthwateringly good. I photographed my new recipe for Cheese Scones (coming soon!) and made my Lemon Blueberry Cookies (exclusively in my new cookbook) too. But perhaps, most exciting of all, I pressed...
